2025 Summer Program: fun that transforms lives

Aug 27, 2025

This year, at Fundación Impronta, we enthusiastically celebrated the return of our most iconic program: the Summer Program.

In the 2025 edition, 175 children from Caucagüita, between the ages of 7 and 12, had an enriching experience that combined fun, learning, and a connection with nature.

For four weeks, they participated in recreational and educational activities at key community locations:

  • The Don Bosco Brisas de Turumo school, where they played “Tras la Pista” (following the trail of stories and letters)
  • The La Embajada court, which was the setting for an “emotions rally” and where they built their own toy cars.
  • The Community Center for Environmental Action in Turumo, where they enjoyed the pool and learned about animals like true Explorers.

Outside the parish, our young campers ran, jumped, and played in nature, surrounded by magicians, fairies, and angels during a wonderful outing to Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda Park (formerly Parque del Este).

Our Summer Program is not only the first project implemented by Fundación Impronta since its creation, but it is also an opportunity to reaffirm children’s right to recreation and experiential education, which are fundamental pillars for their comprehensive development.

Why is it a good idea for your child to attend a summer program?

Summer programs like the one at Impronta offer much more than just entertainment. They are safe spaces where children can:

  • Strengthen their self-esteem by discovering new abilities.
  • Learn to get along with others in diverse environments.
  • Develop autonomy and a sense of belonging.
  • Explore the world with a playful and thoughtful perspective.
  • Experience learning outside of school through real-life experiences.

What skills blossom in our summer program?

Throughout the program, the children developed essential social skills:

  • Assertive communication: They expressed their ideas, emotions, and needs clearly.
  • Collaborative work: They learned to share, cooperate, and resolve conflicts.
  • Empathy and respect: They interacted with children of different ages and backgrounds, valuing diversity.
  • Adaptability: They faced new environments and activities, strengthening their resilience.

A collective effort that made the magic possible

This 2025 edition of the Impronta summer program was made possible thanks to the support of the Fundación Letras en Acción and an extraordinary group of 21 young volunteers from Caucagüita. They were trained as recreational leaders and accompanied each day with commitment, creativity, and affection. Their energy was the driving force behind every smile, every game, and every discovery. A thousand thanks!

At Fundación Impronta, we believe that planting joy is also planting the future. This summer program was a testament to what happens when a community comes together to create spaces for transformation.

Thank you to everyone who made it possible, including Flips and Salseritos for providing delicious snacks. We are already dreaming of the next edition!
